Re: ANYONE INTO SONUS FABER SPEAKERS??
Tue, May 3, 2005 - 4:58 PMI had a friend who had a nice pair of bookshelf Sonus Fabers... I thought they were so exotic and esoteric at the time...
Nice speakers. Though the small cabinet size meant that they were more suited for small apartments and listening at lower volumes.
They did a good job on pop/alt like REM and acoustic and vocal material.
In general, though, Sonus Fabers are pretty spendy for what you get. -

Tue, August 30, 2005 - 8:29 PMSozza to reply well late on the subject.
I love Sonus Faber Concerto speakers too, have the same as you but in black. On the brightness, I kinda EQ for each CD, but I have a McIntosh MA6450 with an envelope filter that acts like a brightness channel for loudness and still have bass and treble to F with. What is your amp again?:):- -

Re: ANYONE INTO SONUS FABER SPEAKERS??
Wed, August 31, 2005 - 3:49 PMI really like the Amati Homage as well as the Stradavari, but they are WELL beyond my price range. I'd like to eventually get a pait of the Guarneri Homage, but that's going to have to wait. Until then I'll have to be happy with my Avalon Acoustics Monitors. My reason for wanting to switch is that I find the Guarneris to have a warmer sound and they are a bit easier to drive.
Cheers,
Gregory
